Does any one start a business from the real zero? What's about opportunities than? What would you choose? Resell, make marketing, promote, affiliate, make clicks, or something else? I would prefer to sell something really mine... May be just because I have something to sell. Any way here you need several things - something to sell, site to promote it, hosting to put site on, advertising.

The main part in any online business is advertising. Making back links, SEO, posting content, making people visit your site... Rise it up in search ratings. Some times it is more easy to gain 1K+ visitors monthly than hight search ratings. And it highly depends on which advertising way did you choose - just a paid link/banner somewhere on a popular site or content posting all over the internet. I have both hands up for content posting. This is long way to success, but pretty reliable when it's about stability of search rankings. You gane a revenu after some time, but you gane it for the long time. Thus it worth efforts. But on the other hand paid advertising is really fast way to get visitors.

So, go ahead and use both ways. 1 for reliability and another for speed. And when it goes about surviving in online business, all ways are pretty good. I've tried many and for now I can tell I am pretty addicted to content posting but on the other hand I like paid advertising due to simplicity and speed of gaining visitors... another problem is that not each visitor is customer... and how to convert visitors to customers - it's another difficult work. And here everyone finds own way... no common ways here..
