Small hosting business – to be or not to be Print E-mail
Recently I was surfing the Internet comparing web hosting providers. I found very nice site which is about and for hosting companies. That is the WebHostingStuff web site. I spend several hours to read about many hosting companies at many countries. There is very nice bidding option at this site which brings several sites to top. And my notice was – what to do to hosting companies which are only beginners here? I always see big hosting companies on top of the bidding auction and relatively small or new hosting providers are invisible.

Some time ago I've started to pay attention to small hosting companies. I did several comparison and the result was very optimistic. Many small hosting companies offers same services, security and reliability level as their big hosting competitors. And almost any small company provides demo or free hosting plan for customers to test hosting speed, reliability, and support.

Nowadays to survive in any business it is the must to provide services and support at the high level. And this is valid for any hosting in the world. That is why I am trying to buy hosting from not so popular and advertised hosting companies. I am comparing services and reliability and I definitely can say – small hosting business must be.

I have several arguments proving that:
1.Fast Internet backbones are available to any hosting provider
2.Server hardware gets more reliable, cheaper, and faster. It is fully affordable by small companies.
3.Support responses in many cases are faster than from big companies due to less overflow.
4.Network administration on small quantity of servers requires less efforts.
5.Demo or free accounts are available for test drive.

I have to underline here that small companies performs more activity to get popular on the Internet. It is important to widespread good advertising content all over the Internet using low budget. And hosting entrepreneurs should be really tricky to gather relevant audience.

In addition I can add that reputation is the main factor here. Just beginners will never gain profit until they are quite popular on the web. Thus beginners and small companies differs. Beginners are those who is just open and small companies are those who can provide at least 1000 results in Google search. If you found a hosting, let's say, but Oksima Plus, and then you go to google for it, you will see huge quantities of results which describes Oksima Plus' activity from many aspects. And you can choose on your own to trust them or not.

Another important point when you are testing a hosting provider, you should consider to contact their support. The response time is very important here. When you are unsure what to choose – just drop an email to support and you will see, how fast the response is.

Finally consider to read refund and money back policy. This is another important thing to care of. This does not mean you should take any refund from a hosting company, but you have to be sure all policies are accurate enough to be trusted.

To conclude I wish you to choose an appropriate hosting for sites and domains us own. And to have your on-line services and stores up and running 24/7 all the way long.
